various problems of a newbie

Hi, I'm sorry if this all sounds rather tedious, but I'm completely lost here. I downloaded the Executive template. Now the template seems to have been installed, but I have a couple of issues.

1. just for a bit of fun I tried our logo that should read Film Music Journal but as you can see, it ends after "Film Music"... where can I change the size of logo container so that it fits in?

2. I want to make an S-C-S layout but I can not see any columns to fill (see above). Did I miss to upload anything (I only uploaded the J51_Executive_unzip1st.zip)?


3. on the pic below. if I click to edit one of these, I got an error message.

4. if I'm trying to make a menue point, I don't see it anywhere

2. For details on setting up the various sidecolumn options may I suggest the following article.. https://www.joomla51.com/tutorials/item/understanding-layout-options

3. To create a new module, from your Joomla administration navigate to Extensions -> Module Manager -> New. Select the module type you wish to create. Once you have the relevant details on your module set up, assign your module to the position of your choice using the Position dropdown option.

4. I am not sure if I understand you correctly. You wish to create a new menu item in your top menu?
