I have a series of documents that are stored in a shared location inside our network. I want to list the links to each document, using the Clarity template. I've created a menu item that is set to display weblinks in a specific category. All shows up correctly, and I can click on the links and the correct documents open.

Where it falls apart is when I search for the title name (for example). The search results show the weblink correctly. However, if I click on the link in the search results it attempts to open http://sitename/V:/demo/demo%20guides/demo%20manual.docx instead of the correct link V:\demo\demo%20guides\demo%20manual.docx (or file:///v:/demo\demo%20guides/demo%20manual.docx).

I've tested this with an external site, and it will search for and open an external http site properly.

Is there a way to correct this behaviour? Failing that, what would your recommendations be so that I can display the document links in a nice list, and successfully open them from either the list page or the search page?

Thanks in advance,
Andy

Hi Andy

I believe for this to work correctly your files will have to be within your localhost folder (htdoc). You will then link to the files using something like http://localhost/myfiles/myfile.zip
