Presuming I understand you correctly could you try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters...

Hi,

The code that u have given changes the background color of the menu button, but what I want is removal of the horizontal rectangular border that comes behind the logo and the menu button, its almost transparent but is still visible.
