Hello,
I purchased the Virtuoso template yesterday. Got things going, but I think I am not approaching the "tabs" or "tabbed area" (top-1tab position) correctly.
I could not find any tutorials, instructions, or even forum items on the subject. Are there any instructions on this? If there are, I am sure all will become clear to me. If not,I will follow up with specific questions and links.
Thanks.,

Hi -g
There is a single module position (top-1tab) for the tabs area of your template. Each module placed in this position is automatically added to a new tab. You can arrange the order of the tabs by editing the order of your modules within your module manager.
Hope that helps!

Thank you, Ciarán!
I managed to get that far, by using Custom HTML modules. The problem that I am seeing is demonstrated in the attached image file. When the home page is displayed "fresh", the content of ALL the modules is displayed, as if in a blog... Once I click on any of the tabs (e.g., "1ST TAB", all works well. If I "go home" by clicking a Home menu item or the logo, the problem returns.
Would you recommend that I use something other than Custom HTML (e.g., article in a module extension)? If yes and you can recommend something (especially from Joomla51) please tell...
As you can see, everything is being put together as we speak so I'd rather not share a link publicly (or admin access, even privately). I hope this is enough for you to give me a direction. If not, I will keep banging on it and if (or when) I accept failure, I will provide link/access.
Many thanks,
-g

Hi -g
That is rather strange and an issue I haven't come across before. Using Custom HTML modules should work fine.
You could try temporarily disabling any installed plugins or any modules published to your homepage as it may be a CSS conflict. Failing that I am sorry to say it would be hard to find a solution without temporary access.

Hello Again,
Problem solved, but not before creating a new clean install and doing some comparative analysis...... What made this easy was the fact that the "under construction" site where the problems occurred was also a clean install... Nothing other than Joomla 3.2.2 and Virtuoso (and the extensions with which it arrived). So there wasn't much that could have gone wrong (BIG hint).
Here is the deal in case others encounter the same issue:
The problem occurs when the radio-button for the "Convert to Module Position (hornav)" which is under Menus in the Virtuoso Template options is set to "Yes", WITHOUT following the instructions below it regarding the moomenu. Both in the test site and the "under construction" site respond the same to setting the radio-button to "Yes" (bad) or "No" (good). In these two installations, this was perfectly consistent (love this kind).
Truth be told, I did not really understand this "convert" issue and what the moomenu instructions meant (what to do or why). I still don't and will appreciate an explanation.
Bottom line, I shouldn't have switched it in the first place or at least understood better and/or followed the instructions. Live and learn (hopefully).
Be Well,
-g

Hi -g
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention and posting your solution.
By default the template places a menu of your choice in the top area of your template with the correct settings to allow the dropdown to work correctly. The 'Convert to Module Position' option allows you to convert this area to a module position and create the menu module manually.
It turns out that without the correct settings set in a menu module for this area of the templace, an error was caused in the script which effected the script used for the tabs module. We hope to have amended this issue with the latest download of the template.
Once again you for posting.. it's an issue we hand't noticed before!

Hello Ciaran,
You are very welcome. Glad I could help...
From your description, I was not sure if the correction to the template have already been made or not. Have they? If not, will you kindly please let me know? Also, how should install the update?
Many thanks for your dedication.
