have the J4 templates already been tested with Joomla 5?
Will there be a J5 version of the templates or will the J4 templates run with Joomla 5 without any code changes?
I have done some preliminary testing with J5alpha1. I installed Skylar_J4 without any issues and configured it. It immediately worked like a charm.
This is no proof of a general functionality for all Joomla51 templates under J5, of course. But it is an indication that there might not be unresolvable problems with J5.
As Rolf mentioned, it appears the changes in Joomla 5 that affect the template are minmal. From our tests, the Joomla 4 version of each template should be also compatible with Joomla 5.
