Hi there,
We use the template Layla from Joomla51. A blog should appear on our website http://www.2022.svdelphin58.de - in the menu "SV Delphin58 - Vereinszeitung". The layout should correspond to the demo page of the template. So an automatic "Read more" after 5 lines. Currently I have to insert the page break manually. This always creates a paragraph - even in places where I don't want to have one.

Where can you set the page break after a fixed line or number of characters?

Hi !
Your link to the page is not online.
Have you already looked in the menu item for the setting you are looking for? (main menu)
There is the settings tab: "Blog-Layout" then "Masonry Line Clamp"! there you can display the number of rows...

Hallo,
Some of my questions have been resolved.
- The site is Online again.

- The blog is now set to Category Blog - Masonry.
But the posts are displayed one below the other and not on the side - as set.

Normally you have to change this in the "blog layout" settings

(I think you only set one column(s). Take a look at my example. You can try it)

I think your screenshot shows me the "blog layout" settings.

I'm using the "Category Blog - Masonry". The number of Columns is 3. There is no item for sorting order.

Yes, that's right, my mistake. These settings should be correct.
It's hard to say now what's wrong.
possibly a different setting in the various tabs
Have you tried making a completely new menu item (Category Blog - Masonry) and maybe with a different category? (other posts) to test?

?? Try a main menu item, not a sub-menu item... ??

I compared my settings with those of the demo installation and couldn't find any significant differences. Will first go back to the normal blog layout.

Hello

Does the following resolve the issue for you?..

1. Delete your templates ./html folder (../templates/j51_layla/html)
2. Download the latest version of the template (1.0.7)
3. Extract and install via your extensions manager

Hello Ciaran,
I followed the instructions. After that the situation was like this:
- My start page brought error 500 - the category blog no longer works.
- In the Category Blog - Alternative I can create an ad with multiple columns.
- The Category Blog - Masonry still shows the reports one below the other. The space for columns 2 and 3 remains empty.

see:

Before the update, menus and posts were set to show author and publication date. These have now disappeared without the settings having been changed.:(

Thank you Frank

We have just created a new release which we hope will resolve the issues mentioned. I have installed this release to your Joomla installation and all appears to be working correctly.

Hello Ciaran,
The problem of the "normal" blog layout is solved. But there is also the "Category Blog - Masonry".

Here the individual articles still appear in a column one below the other. The other two columns of the blog remain empty.(see attached URL).

If we can still get this problem solved, this page can officially go live.

My joy came too soon. In version 1.0.9 of the layout, a free field without text or anything else always appears above the sticky header...

Hi Frank

You appear to have added CSS to the Custom Head Code field. Try adding the CSS to the Custom CSS field instead or wrapping your CSS in a style tag.

The 1.0.9 update also fixes the Custom Head Code field which is why the issue was not apparent previously.

I was able to delete the custom head code because the hyphenation now works without this code. At least in most modern browsers.
Many thanks for the support!
