I am using the J51_PianoForte template and I have the responsive layout enabled. The tabs on my webpage are slow or non responsive when I turn my I Pad Horizontal and they are not in the responsive layout. When I turn my I Pad Vertical it does convert to the responsive design and those tabs do work. However, the first tab and the sub items seem to flash in the header when any tab is pressed.

Hi Richard

Would you have a URL to an example of this issue?

Hi Ciaran,

Can you test it again? Our server was migrated to a new one and we had issues.

To ensure the same style menu is displayed in horizontal as vertical on tablet sized screen may I suggest adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters..

@media only screen and (max-width: 1024px) {
#hornav, .hornavmenu {display:none !important;}
.hornavmenumobile {display:inline; z-index: 99;}
}

May I also suggest checking out the following tutorial which details how to resize your logo on smaller screen devices... http://www.joomla51.com/tutorials/item/re-sizing-your-logo-for-smaller-screen-devices

Thanks, it fixed the tabs responsiveness. Also, thanks for the tutorial on the logo. But, the test from the first set of tabs seems to show up every time I press a tab on the tablet view. I have a screen shot. Is there a way to prevent that from showing. Finally, is there a way to center the webpage or remove the background on a tablet or mobile device it seems to make the page float and not be centered.

Hi Richard

We are in the process of updating our PianoForte template which will include a fluid layout for small screen devices. I believe this may resolve a lot of your issues. I will let you know via a reply to this post once the update is available.

We have just updated our Pianoforte template with a fluid width on mobile devices. To install the update simply re download the template and install via your extensions manager.
