In looking through the demos for various templates, I find that sometimes I prefer one of the six "Example Styles" in terms of colors, etc. I assumed at first that these functioned like "Color Packs" included with other Joomla templates I've purchased in the past. You click on a menu to select the blue version, the green version, the tan version, etc. and immediately the template changes color. You change your mind, click a different choice, and again, instant different color scheme. (like on the "Styles" tab of the demo.)

It appears that this is not the case in implementing the Joomla51 "Styles" - that rather, these are examples of the "endless variety" of styles one can create oneself with the styling options in the template. You mention in the tutorials that you can create different styles to use on various pages. But, other than the default style, it appears that having alternate styles available is a "do it yourself" project. Which has it's pros and cons, compared with the "color pack" model.

The major "pro" of this system is the "endless variety" made possible, so each resulting site is absolutely unique (a nice feature). The major con is - Hunting and pecking through infinite color combinations can be overwhelming for someone like me who doesn't have a design background. At least, as a starting place, it would be helpful to know the codes for the selected colors in each style in the demo, for initial guidance. What's the best process you would recommend to replicate the look and colors of a given style on the demo?

Hi Carrie

Thank you for your post.

It is very true that although the styling method used with our templates does allow 'endless variety', there is an issue there for a client when trying to replicate one of the template example styles. We hope to include 'cheatsheets' for each example style to make it easier to replicate these styles in the near future.

In the mean time you can try installing the demo installer locally as suggested here.. http://www.joomla51.com/forum/8-commercial-templates/5386-demo-installer-clarification

Alternatively if you have a particular style you wish to replicate please let us know and we will post a screenshot of the settings for this style.

Yes, excellent. If you could please post screenshots in Grafik for the default style, plus example styles 1,2, and 6 - that would be very useful, to learn what controls these various settings. I'm especially interested to see what makes some of the styles translucent and others opaque, and what generates a picture background versus a solid color background. Also, how to define the size of the picture needed for the picture-based backgrounds.

Hi Carrie

The default style is set as the default settings for the template.

Grafik Style 1

Grafik Style 2

Grafik Style 6

You can set background image size to your own taste as the template will automatically resize it to fill the browser window.

When I bought my membership a few days ago, I expected to find easy style switching in the template settings. I am a bit disapointed to find that the example styles are actually not present in the template itself, but only in the demo packages. Is there any news on this matter? I think many users would love to have a style switcher with ready to use styles onboard.

Hello

Thank you for bringing this issue back to our attention. We are currently busy finishing of our template release for November which we hope to have complete in the next couple of days. Once finished we will get to work on this :)

Hello

We have now added screengrabs for each of the example styles of each template in the 'Template Extras' folder of each download.

Very nice, thank you! This already helps a lot to recreate our favorite presets.

But is there any chance of adding the presets to the templates as ready to use admin feature? That would be another huge benefit!

Hello

We did look in to that but I am sorry to say it is a feature that is not possible to implement with the current template framework.

Joomla51 fans are so fortunate to have the Example Styles shown on template demos. Thanks so much.
