Space between showcase position and menu

Hello,

i have the problem that, there is a lot of space between my module in showcase position and my main menu. Do you know how i can delete the space?

i think i could solve it by adding some content on the homepage (categoryblog).

But now i have the problem that my SP News Highlighter layout change if "fotos" or "downloads" menu items will be open. Could you help me?
