Today, I downloaded the new version 2.0.0 of template Skylar_J4 and installed it on a local test site. When going to the template's settings, I immediately got the error 'Class "JFormHelper" not found'
capture_05092026_134651.jpg
I patched the issue in file tplhelper.php, only to run into the same issue in file subgroup.php. Subsequently, the same error in file textpx.php. After that, I gave up.

Obviously, the template has not been (completely) adapted to run under Joomla 6.

My test setup:

  • Laragon 6.0 on Windows11
  • Joomla 6.0.4
  • PHP 8.4.11
  • J6 compatibility plugin disabled

Sorry, but that's not true.

After installation of the template on a J6.0.4 with the J6 compatibility plugin disabled, going to the template settings, you get this:
Compat Plugin disabled.jpg

With the plugin enabled, you get:
Compat Plugin enabled.jpg

JFormHelper is deprecated and does work in J5 only with the J5 compatibility plugin enabled. It doesn't work in J6 at all.
