SKYLAR_J4: Minor Issue With MFA Login to Frontend

Hi Ciaran

There is a minor issue with MFA login to the frontend: My superuser account is protected by MFA using TOTP (i.e. Google Authenticator). On login and after inputting my username and password, the MFA screen appears, but the cursor does not sit in the input field. SKYLAR_J4_MFA.jpg
Therefore, I have to place the cursor manually (which is not that big an issue).

On the contrary, when I log in to the backend, the cursor already sits in the input field.

That would be cool for the frontend as well.

Just to confirm that this is a template related issue, could you try enabling one of the default Joomla templates (Cassiopeia) and see if the issue still exists.

You are perfectly right! The issue is not template specific, but also exists when I use Cassiopeia.

So you can close this issue.

Do you think it would be useful to post an issue against Joomla?

Richard is still looking for a second tester for the PR. What about you? If you have a 4.3.x-RC running, it will take about 10 minutes for the test.

Sorry to say I no longer contribute to the Joomla repo. There was a time when I contributed heavily (https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/pulls?q=is%3Apr+author%3Aciar4n), however, for personal reasons I have stepped back.

I accept your personal decision.

I've been following the Joomla groups (de and en) on FB for quite some time. Since a couple of weeks, I'm on Mattermost also. Following those sources, I've learned that Linus Torvalds is not the only open source guy to attack fellow-developers with harsh and sometimes rude comments. I'd prefer when everybody came back to the 'netiquette' from the early days of the Internet.

It is a pity when an open source project like Joomla looses excellent developers because of personal controversies.

But, as said, I accept your personal decision.
