Hello Ciaran,
on my clients testsite we use menu's in the sidebar of the homepage.
On the right there is a Menu with the heading: Qigong - Chi kung
3 steps down this menu has a link with sub-items.
The sub-items should be collapsed (and open when clicking on the arrow next to it).
But everything I trie doesn't work.
Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks!
Greetings, Ton

Hi Ton

I am not sure if I understand you correctly. Is the option available with the default Joomla template (Cassiopeia)?

Hello Ciaran, I just tried it with the Cassiopeia and there it also doesn't work.
Is there a different way to have a collapsible sidebar-menu (with main items that are clickable and then the submenu-items appear beneath it)?
Or does this need some kind of an extension?
Thanks!

Hi Ton

I believe your best bet would be in the form of a 3rd party menu module extension. Have you tried looking at some of the options available at https://extensions.joomla.org/category/menu-systems/

Presuming I understand you correctly, I believe you are looking for an accordion-style menu.
