Hello Joomla 51,
I installed the Clarity template local on Xampp (Joomla 2.5.16) and noticed that I didn’t have the sample data. Then I reinstalled Joomla this time with the English sample data. Opening the site again I do have the samples of Joomla, but I still don’t have the samples of the Clarity template. I don’t know what to do next. Can you please help me?.

Hello

There is a number of options regarding the sample data you install. Only the 'Default English (XX) Sample Data' option installs the templates demo content. Can you confirm for me that you are selecting the correct option?

Hi Ciaran,

Yes I really think I selected the correct option. When I try to install the demo I got again the message: Warning: POST Content-Length of 10226804 bytes exceeds the limit of 8388608 bytes in Unknown on line 0 although I unzipped Downloads\J51_Clarity_unzip1st\J51_Clarity_unzip1st\Demo Installer.

This error is normally associated with attempting to install the demo installer file (J51_Clarity_DemoInstaller_J31.zip) through the 'Extension Manager' of an already installed Joomla installation. Is this the case?

These are the steps I made: First I installed Downloads\Joomla_2.5.16-Stable-Full_Package-Dutch.zip with 'Default English (XX) Sample Data'. I just checked it by installing joomla again, then I installed Downloads\J51_Clarity_unzip1st\J51_Clarity_unzip1st\Joomla! 2.5 Install Files, Downloads\J51_Clarity_unzip1st\J51_Clarity_unzip1st\Joomla! 2.5 Install Files, \Downloads\J51_Clarity_unzip1st\J51_Clarity_unzip1st\Joomla! 2.5 Install Files\mod_j51slideshow.zip and Downloads\J51_Clarity_unzip1st\J51_Clarity_unzip1st\Joomla! 2.5 Install Files\mod_j51slideshow.zip through the extension manager. Afterwards I tryed to install the demo installer and got: Warning: POST Content-Length of 10226804 bytes exceeds the limit of 8388608 bytes in Unknown on line 0.

The demo installer included with your purchase is a copy of Joomla with the template demo content included in place of Joomlas sample data. Extract the J51_Clarity_DemoInstaller_J31.zip and use these files instead of the standard Joomla install package. Select 'Default English (GB) Sample Data' under 'Install Sample Data' on the 3rd step of your Joomla installation to import the demo content for your template.

Dear Ciarán,

thanks for your answer. I did follow it, but first it did not work.
After restarting the system, clearing all existing datas and doing all the steps once again it finally worked!
:woohoo:
Perfect! Thank you for your assistance!

Best regards
Bettina
