Riley: 500 error if usinf index.php in child template

Hello

I have added a child template and there I added error.php and index.php.

error.php works fine (if I delete index.php).

But index.php gives an error:

Sorry, there was a problem we could not recover from.
The server returned a "500 - Whoops, looks like something went wrong."

Looks like some files can't get loaded. But I have changed the paths in index.php of child template, so it should work?
