Hi there
I would like to refine the responsive settings on our web site for viewing on mobile phones. We are using Clarity. Firstly, the menus in sidecol-a dominate the viewing area on mobile screens – can these menus be compacted and presented in the same scrollable format as the main horizontal menu? Secondly, I have 4 images on the home page in the top-3a module position, and 6 logos in the contentbottom-a module position. How can I set these modules to automatically adjust down in size when viewed on a small screen?
I would appreciate your advice.
Thanks, Louise

Hi Louise

Sorry to say no option is available to compact your sidecol menu similar to that of the top menu. An alternative solution which may be suitable would be to palce the sidecol module position below the main article/component area when viewed on mobile devices. To do so may I suggest the following post... http://www.joomla51.com/forum/8-commercial-templates/5068-calibra-changing-the-responsive-layout#9990

Would you have a URL to an example of your images/logo?

Hi Ciaran

I'm using Joomla 2.5.22 so I'm not sure I should change the main.php file given the code provided in your article is for Joomla 3.x. The URL is http://www.blindsinmind.com.au.

Thanks, Louise

Hi Louise

Sorry to say the suggest changes do require Joomla 3.x as Bootstrap is needed. The onther suggestion I can think of is to use an accrodion styled menu, a selection of which can be found at the following URL.. http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/structure-a-navigation/menu-systems/accordion-menus

You appear to be using a corrupted slideshow module which is preventing us from viewing your site. May I suggest the following post on a possible cause to this.. http://www.joomla51.com/forum/8-commercial-templates/3943-using-the-autson-slideshow-please-read-js-hiddenlink

Thanks Ciaran. I'll try the accordion style menu - I'm sure this will help tidy up viewing on small screens. I'll also replace the Autson slideshow module with j51_slideshow which I use on other sites without any dramas. The scanner has shown malware on the site so hopefully this change will make a difference. Will let you know how I get on!
