Hi
I'm having a bit of problem with my site on iPad and ipod
hope you can see by the two examples
on home page and menu items with sub menus the width is fine but when I go to a menu without drop down the width seems to increase and crop off the right hand side

We have added the following to the head of your templates index.php forcing mobile devices to scale your pages to fill the screen. All appears to be now showing correctly...

<m-eta name = “viewport” content = “initial-scale = 1.0″>

Hi
I'm afraid it doesn't work the view is still zoomed in especially if you go to "events page" and the iPad is upright.

cheers

Hi Photman

Testing on an iPad we are no longer able to replicate this issue. Please try clearing the cache on your device and see if the issue persists?

Hi Ciarán
Yes I've cleared cache and it still happens, so as a work around I enabled Responsive layouts.
I have also enabled a splash image instead of Showcase module and this works fine on the homepage
But...
I am using different template styles on different menus and when I try to use the splash image on these it doesnt work, any ideas why
Cheers

Would you have a URL to an example of the issue you are having with the splash image?

Hi

Please forget about the splash image problem, my client wants to stick with a non responsive site so I am back to the problem of the zoomed in view.
this happens on an iPod and iPad and iPhone in an upright position
best URL to see it is http://clevelandtontine.nps-dev.co.uk/about-the-tontine
cheers

Thank you

We have removed the following from your templates index.php which we hope will resolve this issue?

<m-eta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1, maximum-scale=1"/>

Hi Ciaran

Just the same I'm afraid it only happens when ipod etc is in upright view and only on certain menu items.
I have deleted the other styles of the template I was using and this didnt help

I have 7 menu headings on my site
Home Food and Wine Rooms Events About Corporate and Contact

the items that appear correct in the Ipod/pad/phone upright view are Home Rooms and contact
the remainder show a zoomed in view.
Can anyone else see my problem on an Ipad/pod etc

URL is http://clevelandtontine.nps-dev.co.uk

My client is getting a bit concerned that the template is not working and we may have to change it which is a shame as its a great template

Hello

Is the issue still present if you extend the content on these pages? Some devices will scale your site so the entire site fills the screen. In particular with portrait view if your pages are relatively short your device is forced to scale vertically so your site fills the screen which I believe is the case with these pages.
