If you want activate search module in search position, you can to this is template parameters.

If you want put custom module in this position, you must follow instructions from this topic

I made the change:

<div id="search">
<jdoc:include type="modules" name="search" />
</div>

and include in templateDetails.xml:
<position>search</position>

The position appeared to choose, but does not appear on de website.

im using 2.5.4 version of joomla.

The search module and social media icons can be enabled via the templates parameters. From your Joomla administration navigate to Extensions -> Template Manager -> J51_Rendezvous.
