Redirect Manager not working

I am using the Nocturne theme and need to redirect some urls but nothing I try seems to work. I've tried the redirect manager, adding the code to the .htaccess file, as well as some plugins.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Here is an example:

http://www.maxgrowlights.com/index.php/2013-11-12-00-12-30/max-600

to go to

http://www.maxgrowlights.com/products/max-600

Hello

Sorry to say this would not be a template issue so I wouldn't be the best person to offer you advice. When setting up redirects it is often a good idea to use one of the many SEF extensions available for Joomla.. http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/site-management/sef
