Is there a workaround to allow the Slideshow in the Privilege template to be disassociated from the Thumbs Gallery? I have discovered very late in the production of a site using this otherwise lovely template that in order to have the slideshow display on a page, a Thumbs Gallery module must also be in place right below the little roof graphic, otherwise the page doesn't work at all. I would like to put a custom HTML module in that position instead of the gallery. I did a search of this forum and noticed that in May a user asked this question but you didn't understand his query because of the way he formulated it. I also noticed that you made available a 3.2 update for the Thumbs Gallery in November. Before I install it I would like to know whether the update addresses this constraint.

Hello

The are in which the thumbs gallery module is placed in the template demo is the sidecol-b module position. To place a 'Custom HTML' module in the same area navigate to Extensions -> Module Manager -> New -> Custom HTML and set the position to sidecol-b.

The update to this modules resolves an issue where images appear faded when opened.

Actually, I did create a custom HTML module and placed it in sidecol-b but the page still came up blank. It only worked when I added the thumbsgallery in sidecol-b. To get around it, I have created a thumbsgallery with one row of 75x1px transparent gifs and that seems to work fine.

If you wish you can send temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine this issue further. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

Thank you Kim

All should be fine now. It appears yo may have had the Joomla 2.5 version of the slideshow module installed which for our Privilege template is not forward compatible.
