Having problems upgrading the Joomla install from 3.9.3 when using PHP 7.2.

If I use PHP 7.0 or earlier, the Joomla updater works fine. If I use PHP 7.1 or 7.2 i just get a black screen and the update doesn't work. However if I do the Joomla update and then perform the PHP upgrade, all appears to be OK in the front end and back end of the site.

Joomla have told me that is is more than likely an issue with a template or third party component/module etc.

Are you aware of any issue with the Joomla 51 templates and recent versions of PHP?

Thanks, Paul

Hi Paul

Is the blank screen in your template frontend or backend? If in the frontend, have you tried disabling all modules? There is no known issues with any of our templates to date. In similar cases, issues have been module/plugin related.

Hi Paul

Sounds like possibly a plugin related issue. The template has no effect on the backend so very unlikely to be template related.
