I recently purchased the Jasmine template for a new website I'm working on. A few days ago, I enabled the Breadcrumps option, to display the navigation position on the webpages. Then I noticed the breadcrumps line is very close to the HR above it. While checking the page with Edge's default Devtools, I saw the next line marked in red color:

Refused to apply style from 'http://*.*.nl/media/templates/media/vendor/joomla-custom-elements/css/joomla-alert.css' because its MIME type ('text/html') is not a supported stylesheet MIME type, and strict MIME checking is enabled.

How can I resolve this issue?

Kind regards,
Danny

Hi Danny

May I ask what version of the template are you using? I believe this issue was resolved in Version 1.1.8.

So I did some further testing. I downloaded the template again. De-installed the current template from the website. Reinstalled the downloaded template. Then applied the default template style. After that, I viewed the site again. The reason I found this 'error' is because I wanted to try to find out why the breadcrumps line is so close to the colored HR (see first attachment). Would love to have some space between them.
Using Edge's devtools, I noticed the error (second attachment).

Hi Danny

May I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine this issue further. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

I have made some changes and this issue should be now resolved, however it appears you may have some server-side cache that will need to be cleared before the changes take effect.

You should also note that the issue would be resolved naturally once your site goes online.

Can you tell me what kind of changes? And system-cache in Joomla is currently disabled, during development. Or do you mean some other caching?

You should also note that the issue would be resolved naturally once your site goes online.

Do you mean, when I turn the Joomla option to take the website offline off (so the site will be online), that this resolves the issue automatically? Well, the site has been online several times for testing purposes, and that's how I encounterd this issue... But like you said, the problem seems to be solved. Thanks for your support!

Somehow there is still an issue with te joomla-alert.css file. Today, I enabled the Redirect plugin. Immediately when visiting the first page of the website, an "expired URL" was added to the list of redirected links. See attached image:
Schermafbeelding 2023-06-21 200203.png

And this folder path really doesn't exist:

http://j4.zinvoldoorleven.nl/media/templates/media/vendor/joomla-custom-elements/css/joomla-alert.css

But, it's now clear which file is causing the error, I guess. Hoewever, this file is hard to read for me. Can you help?

Hi Danny

It is possible that your media folder is not updating when installing the latest version of the template. To resolve could you try copying the contents of..

../templates/j51_jasmine/css/vendor/joomla-custom-elements

In to (replace)..

../media/templates/site/j51_jasmine/css/vendor/joomla-custom-elements

Hi Ciaran,

Using Filezilla I checked both folderpaths. They both exist, as you can see in the images.

Should I delete the first path completely?

Hi Danny

Both paths will exist but I suggest replacing the folder in your media folder with that of the template folder.

Hi Danny

Copy the contents of the ../templates/j51_jasmine/css/vendor/joomla-custom-elements folder in to the ../media/templates/site/j51_jasmine/css/vendor/joomla-custom-elements, replacing the current contents.

Ok, that made it clear to me. First I checked the content of both folders. They seemed to be equal. Same files, with equal file sizes. However, like you asked me to do, I copied the content from one folder to another, overwriting existing content. However, it seems that this didn’t help…

Hi Danny

Thank you for the update. On further investigation, this turned out to be a typo in the path for the alert CSS :(

I've created a new update for the template, install to your Joomla installation and the issue appears to be now resolved. Thank you for your patience and for bringing this to our attention.

Thanks for the update on this post. I'm glad that you found the issue.
This morning, I logged in to the back-end of my website, and noticed that the version number of the template has increased, though I haven't updated anything. The date is still feb 2022:
jasmin version.png

And I discovered that in the release notes you are one year behind ;)

So, I will install the new version of the template and hope that the problem will be solved. Thanks again!

Kind regards,

Danny

Hi Ciaran,

Though I installed the new Jasmin template version 1.10, I still see this error in the dev tools:

Refused to apply style from 'http://j4.zinvoldoorleven.nl/media/templates/media/vendor/joomla-custom-elements/css/joomla-alert.css' because its MIME type ('text/html') is not a supported stylesheet MIME type, and strict MIME checking is enabled.

I'm afraid, the problem hasn't been solved yet. I underlined the part of the path that I suspect to be wrong...

Hi Ciaran,

I noticed that you were logged on to my website. Probably for some investigation. Note however, that as of today, I moved the site to its new URL (for production). See below the new URL.

Hi Danny

Yes some time was spent investigating this issue which to be honest has us somewhat stumped. We went to the extent of creating a new update for the template where we completely removed the call for the joomla-alert.css and still your Joomla installation is attempting to make the call. It seems it is been called by another extension or there is some residual data in your database.

One possible solution would be to simply create an empty joomla-alert,css in the location detailed. The CSS is already loaded as part of the template CSS.
