Problem: I have the Slideshow module positioned in the Showcase slot, set to only show on the Home page. I've set this via the Menu Assignment parameter as follows:

Module Assignment > Only on selected pages
Main Menu > Home
Top > Home

With these settings, the slideshow still shows when viewing articles, unless said articles are accessed via the Site Map. This could be a problem with the link I used to access articles, but I don't know how to fix it either way.

The same is true for the Custom HTML modules loaded into the Top-2 positions. These modules are where the links exist used to access the articles.

The link I'm using is: http://www.enoctis.net/83-mod-top2/8-article-getting-started

I've tried modifying the target of the link without any benefit. Again, I think it might have something to do with the 83-mod-top2 portion of the link. But what else could I set it to and still access the articles? Originally, I had the articles set to a category called "mod-top2", but have since moved them. Perhaps I need to rebuild the links somehow? I am lost.

Thanks,
Sean Reeves

Hi Sean

Seems a bit strange alright..

May I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com so we can examine this issue further.

As it turns out, it was the link I was using. If the link used doesn't use an ID, then the site still thinks you're on the home page. I appreciate your help, even though it was my newbness that caused the issue in the first place.
