Hi Ciarán,
Am interested in the Elvira template, in particular because of the module on the home page. See attached. I'd like more information about the functionality of that module (not sure of its name -- doesn't seem to be a slideshow). I need a way to place text over a ghosted photo and include a button, like the one on the Elvira home page.
Thanks!
rita

HI Rita

In our Elvira template there is an option to add a header slideshow. The 'showcase' module position sits inside the header so any module placed in this position (in this case a custom module) will overlay the header slideshow.

Hi Rita

For this area we used the following markup for the custom module. When working with HTML like this we would always suggest using the CodeMirror editor.

<div style="max-width:400px; margin:200px 30px;">
<h2> Strive to Inspire! </h2>
<p>Duis aute irure dolor reprehenderit voluptate velit esse cillum dolore fugiat lore ipsum dolor sit amet consectetur adipisicing elit sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna.</p>
<a class="btn" href="#" style="margin:10px 0">Sign Up Today</a>
</div>

Hi again Ciaràn,
Just heard from my client about my adding text over the showcase image in http://www.enlivenllc.com. She has pointed out that unless you have the web browser open large, those buttons somewhat disappear. I have attached a screenshot.
Best,
rita

Hello

Your text appears to be pushed down your page some empty paragraph tags. Try removing some of these tags so the image is less likely to appear outside of the viewport on smaller screen sizes.

Sorry, I'm confused. Am looking but not finding empty paragraph tags. Image was inserted via Template / Styling. Do you see these tags in my Custom CSS?

Hello

The empty paragraph tags appears to be in the 'showcase' module position. If you are still unable to locate them, may I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will locate the tags for you. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

Thank you, Ciarán. I think I found them. I deleted the padding in the showcase module position. Is this what you were referring to? My intent there was to move the text up a bit. Is there another way to do that?

Hello

You could just add a single paragraph tag and then add a vh value to the height, something like this (edit to taste)...

<p style="height: 35vh;"></p>
