Dear all,

I have installed Joomla51 POLARIS template.

When opening my webpage, the mobile menu stays OPEN for quite a long time, until page-rendering process is finished. Instead, I want the mobile menu to be closed during page-rendering (screenshot attached):

EXAMPLE:
http://quirktools.com/screenfly/#u=http%3A//www.golfanatics.de/&;w=320&h=480&a=33&s=1

This happens whenever the mobile menu is used, i.e. tablets as well as handheld phones...

What can I possibly do?

Thanks & regards
Ralph

Hi Ralph

In your templates index.php (../templates/j51_polaris/index.php) try replacing the following...

<?php include ("php/styles.php");?>
<?php include ("php/scripts.php");?>

With....

<?php include ("php/scripts.php");?>
<?php include ("php/styles.php");?>

hi Ciarán, thank you,
that helps slightly, but does not bring a substantial change or improvement.

Is there a way
- to close the mobilemenu quicker, or alternatively
- to prevent it from being displayed in full scale during pageloading-process, as shown in my screenshot?

Regards
Ralph

Hi Ralph

May I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine this issue further. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

The mobile menu of our most recent template release has been added to your test site. You have a very large number of extensions on your site causing a number of javascript conflicts so all plugins and modules were disabled for the menu to function correctly.

Dear Ciarán,

thank you for helping. Now we would like to exchange the Mobile Menu files on our LIVE site as well.
For doing this, and also as a help for other users who may encounter the same issue, can you please provide

a list of the mobile menu files, which need to be replaced.

Thank you in advance.

Dear Ciarán,

thank you very much for your support and the list of files posted in the Forum.

Unfortunately we had to delete the test-instance of our website due to a security issue. So I cannot copy the files you altered one by one anymore.
Question: can I simply replace the Polaris mobile menu files listed by yourself in the Forum, with the newer versions, eg from Renovate template? or are there specific changes within those files?

--> if there are specific manual changes in these files and simple replacement is not possible, can you please make those changes directly on our production site (without disabling any plugins or modules of course)?
Alternatively, you can of course send me the altered files for simple replacement via email.

Thank you again and best regards.

There is quite a few changes which have to be made within each file. May I suggest sending your FTP details to info@joomla51.com and we will once again apply the new menu to your template. Please paste a link to this post in your email for our reference.

Hi Ciarán,

this is a large production site, and - of course - it has a lot of plugins and components installed. Disabling these is not an option, as it may be for some very tiny little meaningless sites nobody looks at. There were a lot of inconsistent image links inside the Polaris template, which we rectified ourselves in the meantime. If you look at our production site, you will NOT find many errors anymore, and I also do not see the high number of js conflicts you mentioned anymore. The testsite mobile menu, however, is not any second faster now, so lets bury this problem for the time being, and we will get some paid programmers on it to solve it.

Regards
