Hi Ciaran,

I am using metropolis template on Joomla 3.5. I have some modules (like image, clock, music) I want to appear only on some pages. I am chosing this modules and assign them to only appear on this pages, but it is very weird, that also on some other pages on which they should not appear and which I excluded, they still show up there. I tried to solve this in several ways, but I'm not succeeding in it.
My site is http://www.hanvandegraaf.nl.
This is where you can see how it should look like in the (Dutch) mainpage: http://hanvandegraaf.nl/index.php
This is where you can see how it should look like in the birds pages: http://hanvandegraaf.nl/index.php/component/content/article/10-nederlands/articles-nl/vogel-informatie/24-bergeend (without sidecol-b and without slideshow)
This is where you can see how it NOT should look like in the birds pages: http://hanvandegraaf.nl/index.php/10-nederlands/articles-nl/vogel-informatie/201-boomkruiper (with sidecol-b and with slideshow)
I have this on more pages, some have it and some doesn't have it. It is really weird :S and can't find a solution.
Maybe you can help me with this.
Thanks in advance :) ,
greetings

Hello Ciarán,

Thanks a lot for giving me the solution to my problem.
I changed things in the way you wrote and now everything is fine.
May I suggest to you that it would be very nice that you include the possibility to make submenus, with more columns and rows in your templates?
Just like it is here: http://www.joomla.org/ or can I implement it in another way? I had JSE Megamenu but this was not compatible with the Metropolis template.

Thanks again for helping me out. :woohoo:
Greetings,
Han

Hi Han

It appears to be an itemID issue with your modules. This issue would not be related to your template.

When some articles/categories don't have a menu item linking to it they go under the frontpage itemid. If you disable SEF URLs in your Global Configuration you'll see the problematic article is using the same itemID as your homepage. It is this itemID which Joomla uses to assign its modules.

To solve this issue, create a menu item (may be hidden) to the articles or their categories thus they will get their own unique itemID.

Hi Han

May I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine these issues further. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

We still appear to be getting some 404 errors however we will try and find a solution for the pages we can open.

Hello Ciaran,

Strange, but here are the new ones:
My site: http://www.hanvandegraaf.nl or in UK: http://hanvandegraaf.nl/index.php/en/mainmenu
with slideshow and sidecolb. That is my meaning, only showing up in main page Dutch and English.
On the birds detailed pages I don't want the slideshow and I don't want any sidecolumns, however this is how it is showing in Dutch (with slideshow and with sidecol-b) :S :
http://hanvandegraaf.nl/index.php/10-nederlands/articles-nl/vogel-informatie/42-kluut
and here how it is showed in English (with slideshow :S , but without sidecol-b :)
http://hanvandegraaf.nl/index.php/en/12-engels/articles-en/bird-information/197-avocet
Really hope you can help me out, cuase I want to 'publish' my new site now soon.
Thanks in advance,
Greetings, Han

p.s. Maybe I can submit my login?

Hello

All of the URLs you have provided appear to be giving us 404 errors?
