Hi,

I have recently activated a site using the Metropolis template. When some users attempt to access the site using IE9 they are receiving the IE6 warning and cannot proceed.

Can you help or direct me how to disable the IE warning. I've checked the usual places within the backed i.e. plugins and scanned through the server template files including JS files however I can locate it...

Thanks!

Hi Rick

To disable try removing the following from your templates scripts.php (../templates/j51_metropolis/php/scripts.php)..

<!--[if lte IE 7]>
<style type="text/css">
#ie6msg{border:3px solid #eee; background:#fff; padding:20px;color:#000; margin:100px auto; width: 600px;}
#ie6msg h4{margin: 8px; padding:0;}
#ie6msg p{margin: 8px; padding:0;}
#ie6msg p a.getie7{font-weight:bold; color:#006;}
#ie6msg p a.ie6expl{font-weight:bold; color:#006;}
#body_bg {display:none;}
</style>
<div id="ie6msg">
