I've seen your information about removal of malware code in Joomla, but I'm afraid that I don't know how to do it. I've had a look around in the backend of Joomla and there doesn't appear to be anywhere in the modules section that allows access to the code. I've had a look in the backend of the template and have found an area that allows "Edit main page template", but I don't think this is what you are referring to. I have asked the hosts of the site if they can remove this malware code, but they have now come back telling me that the code content is my responsibility, but they have identified, from a scan that there is an infection in the Autson Slideshow. Can you explain, to a non-programmer, how to remove this code, which I imagine is an urgent matter. I would like to continue using the Autson slideshow.

Thank you,

David G

Hello

Normally you would access such files by using FTP access to your Joomla installation. However an easier solution would be to install a clean version of the module overwriting the original copy of the module. For which template and what Joomla version are you using and I will make the clean version of the extension available to you?

Thank you Ciaran,

My host provider suggested downloading Filezilla and the code has now been removed and I've asked them to rescan the site to check that it's now clean.

Thank you for your help with this and for alerting us to this problem.

Best wishes,
