Making a change to the J51_Clarity template.

I am setting up a website using the Clarity template, but it has a black top bar going right accross the top.

Can anyone help me remove this bar and just have it clear or transparent rather then black? Its where the search and social media links sit, similarly to this website using the same template: http://bluelens.com.au/home/index.php

Any help would be appreciated.

I had a similar problem. Here was the reply:

4) To remove the top bar also add the following...

#container_spacer3 {display:none;}

You would add this in the Template Manager under Custom Css.

Any idea if you can make the logo bigger or to increase the top menu font size bigger?

Are you using a graphic or the text version? I had to make a logo smaller to fit the container. The only way to change the font size that I know of is to play around with the fonts. http://www.joomla51.com/temp/GoogleFontsInJoomla51Oxygen.pdf will make your life easier while messing with them.

To increase the size of your logo text you can also try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters..


[code type=css]h1.logo-text a {font-size: 65px;}[/code]

Where 65px is your new logo text size.

For the slogan text try adding the following..


[code type=css]p.site-slogan {font-size: 10px;}[/code]
