Hi Ciaran

I am having issues trying to view the London Demo on my site. I did the following

1) I created a sub folder and installed Joomla
2) then ftp'd the contents of the demo folder into this folder. I was asked to overwrite which I did
3) once the files were moved over I wasn't able to view them. I keep getting this error when I looked at the Styles and Templates in Extensions or any other area and told to go back to the Control Panel
Error
Unknown column 'client_id' in 'where clause'
Googling the error I found a suggestion to go to Extensions > manage > database > fix which I did and it said everything was ok.
4) there are only two Joomla templates installed. The London demo template doesn't show, yet when I look at the media folders I can see the images have all downloaded. The download took well over an hour to do and I checked as it downloaded . There were no interruptions
5) I tried to download the London template but it's not giving me the option to upload a template.

I will email you the logins in a separate email.

Thank you

Hi Desiree

When installing your template demo ensure to select 'Default English (GB) Sample Data' under 'Install Sample Data' on the 3rd step of your Joomla installation to import the demo content for your template.

I have installed the missing plugins however it appears the wrong sample data was selected during the install process.

Hi Ciaran

I did a quick install through hostgator. I wasn't given the option whether I want sample data or not. :(

Any other ideas please?

Hi Ciaran

I have managed to get the sample data installed and now my question is, Do I have to overwrite every folder including the Administration etc? It took several hours to do last time I tried. I wondered if there were files that didn't need overwriting

Many thanks

Hello

You should have no reason to overwrite any folders. May I ask what would be your reason for doing this?
