Hi,
On the Clarity template, is it possible to have a logo displaying alongside the text and slogan? The standard template config only allows one or other to display.
thanks,
Liam

Hi Liam

Sorry to say there is no simple solution. To render both you can replace the following in your templates header.php (../templates/j51_clarity/php/layouts/header.php)..

<div id="logo">
<div class="logo_container">
<?php if($this->params->get('logoImage') == '1') : ?>
<h1 class="logo"> <a href="/index.php" title="<?php echo $siteName; ?>"><span>
<?php echo $siteName; ?>
</span></a> </h1>
<?php else : ?>

<h1 class="logo-text"> <a href="/index.php" title="<?php echo $this->params->get('siteName'); ?>"><span>
<?php echo $this->params->get('logoText'); ?>
</span></a> </h1>
<p class="site-slogan"><?php echo $this->params->get('sloganText'); ?></p>
<?php endif; ?>
</div>
</div>

With..

<div id="logo">
<div class="logo_container">
<h1 class="logo"> <a href="/index.php" title="<?php echo $siteName; ?>"><span>
<?php echo $siteName; ?>
</span></a> </h1>

<h1 class="logo-text"> <a href="/index.php" title="<?php echo $this->params->get('siteName'); ?>"><span>
<?php echo $this->params->get('logoText'); ?>
</span></a> </h1>
<p class="site-slogan"><?php echo $this->params->get('sloganText'); ?></p>
</div>
</div>

This will render both image and text however the text might be pushed out of view. At this point you can send us a URL to your site and we will put together the CSS needed to render both image and text next to each other.

Hi Ciarán,
The two pieces of code you posted appear to be the same, can you have a look again?
thanks,
Liam

My apologies Liam.. I forgot to edit the second snippet of code. It should now be correct.

Thanks Ciarán,
I've updated the header.php file now. The site is published at http://www.elally.ie.

Hi Ciarán,
I've played around with the CSS myself and I've managed to get the logo text and slogan to line up as I want it using

h1.logo-text a {
top: -100px;
left: 220px;
}
p.site-slogan {
font-size: 14px;
top: -100px;
left: 220px;
}

Thanks again for your help,
Liam
