Logo backround Navbar problem

Hello Forum Members,
i´ve got a question with the j51 classic template.
I want to insert a logo who is as wide as the side is.
The logo fits very well, but the problem is, that the navbar opens behind the logo so nobody can see the pulldown menus. Is it possible to set the logo in the backround and the navbar in the foreground with css commands or so?

.hornavmenu {

    z-index: 30;

}
