Hi there,
I recently bought the Sophia template and love the style and handling espacially of the J51 News Module of very much.

http://www.joomla51.com/demo/0155/index.php/module-extensions/news-module

I got the following problem: By clicking on "read more" I need to target a menu item an not open the article.
I got every option to generate the "read more" link (in the text of the article, via link etc.). I had the link in the text, but the newsmodule ignored the tag, so the link was without any break just after the text. So maybe just a bug? Does the module strip all s in the first X numbers of caracters (I limited them).
Is there any possibility to solve this?

I also tried to solve this by using the joomla latest article module but it duplicated the class I entered in the module class suffix so every try to add box shadow etc. duplicated the box shadow and in looked awful.

Edit: for subpages I'd need the layout of this cool boxes for the blog-layout. Any possibility?

Your help will be very appriciated!
Thank you very much in advance
Tina
PS: find attached a screenshot of the layout and how I need the boxes.

Hello

Presuming I understand you correctly have you considered creating a 'hidden menu'. Hidden menu items give you a URL which can be added to the URL field of your news module, therefore targeting that menu item. A quick search for Joomla and hidden menus will give you some further information on the subject.

Hi Ciaran,
no I am sorry this was not what helped and I am afraid I described it too confusing.

Thing is:
- I display J51 News boxes on the homepage
- the boxes show articles of a specific category and therefor just let's say the main articles
- the article itself is linked under a specific menu item like "projects"
- so the user on the homepage clicks on "read more"
-> the remaining text of the article is displayed on the homepage aswell

This is not what I want.
I need the following:
- user clicks on read more or "project"
- it opens the article in the menu project (which is visible)
- so the users will be forwarded from the homepage to the project page.

So I think that this is nothing I can do automatically, so my question is: how can I add a handmade URl to the article?

BTW: I don't see any URL-field of a news module.... and couldn't find it via google search.
Thank you again for your help!
