LifeStyle Template emty page in the beginning

I want to do the first site emty to have full sight to the background image. Only the lifestyle banner and the main menue should be there. If I create an empty article to be shown first, I get an empty white box. How can I get rid of this box?

I have the same problem at the moment. I added this to my custom css: 
#container_main {

    display: none;

}


it is still displaying a thin line with something in it as shown on the attached screenshot.



Any way we could fix this?

yeah of course I can give you the URL... Dont know why I didnt post it before:

It is running on Joomla 2.5.24 and the installation is bone stock. Would be great if we could figure this out.

Tell me if you need me to pn you the access to the backend.

Edit: It seems that there is no content but the content_baclground_container is loaded despise that...
