I have the Lifestyle template and I have discovered that the template automatically places a H1 header tag on the logo text. I do not use a logo, only the logo text, and do not plan on using a logo, but whenever I go to the header.php file to try to modify the following:

<h1 class="logo-text"> <a href="/" title="<?php echo $this->params->get('siteName'); ?>"><span>
<?php echo $this->params->get('logoText'); ?>
</span></a> </h1>

to change it to h2, or anything else, it produces an undesirable effect. For example, after making any changes the font changes (undesirably), and the text is off center.

My goal is to get rid of the h1 tag for SEO reasons but keep the text stylistically looking the same. How do I do this? Alternatively, if I were to use a logo in lieu of logo text, would this still have an h1 tag on it?

Hello

We have just updated the Lifestyle template so the logo text styling will remain regardless of the header tag used with the logo. To update, download your template via your Joomla51 'Downloads' and install via your Extensions Manager.
