Using Layla 1.1.8 Demo Installer - installation went fine and site is running. However it is showing Joomla 4.2.3 as current up-to-date version when in reality Joomla 4.2.6 is the current up-to-date version.

Confirmed the Joomla update plugin is enabled

Attempted to check for updates and nothing happens

Go to System > Update Sites and https://update.joomla.org/core/list.xml is disabled.

Enable https://update.joomla.org/core/list.xml and attempt to check for updates and nothing happens (page just sits there)

Return to System > Update sites and the https://update.joomla.org/core/list.xml site is disabled again.

Any guidance would be appreciated.
