I was using Naomi on my sites with the Backward Compatibility 6 plugin on. It was working well, but with no new templates or old one's updated, I tried Cassiopeia to look like Naomi. Never got that right.
Then Olivier came with the update Emani template. Tried that one as a base template for an updated Naomi template, it worked but with a lot of errors. So skip that one.
Then I tried Chatgpt using the latest Naomi version.
First version gave an error and gave Chatgpt feedback and after a few tries it came up with a Joomla 6 native (no b/c) Naomi template. Had a few J51 extensions updated as well, so now all my sites are running Joomla 6 native.
Do check other extensions/plugins. I had one the delevoper said in was for Joomla 6 but it wasn't, it crached the site, so I had Chatgpt updated that one as well and now it works without any errors.
Try it out for yourself on a testsite before going live.

Hi!
You should use Claude for migration. One try, perfect result
Not if your using the free account. 10 minutes and then 4-5 hours waiting before finishing the migration. In the meantime i've could have done several of my templates and extensions. After the automatic update to Joomla 6.2 it still works fine.

Hi everyone,
Great to see that the migration of the Naomi template to Joomla 6 was successful! ?
I can also confirm the positive experiences with ChatGPT.
I've already successfully migrated and modernized several Joomla51 templates, including Emani, to Joomla 6 using ChatGPT.
All the templates I've updated now run natively on Joomla 6, without requiring the "Behaviour – Backward Compatibility 6" plugin to be enabled.
The process involved more than just replacing deprecated functions. Several parts of the templates were also technically modernized and adapted to current Joomla standards.
Of course, not everything worked perfectly on the first attempt. Some additional adjustments were necessary, especially regarding template settings, module positions, and JavaScript functionality.
In my opinion, whether ChatGPT or Claude is the better choice depends on the project and your workflow. Both can deliver great results. What really matters is thoroughly testing the changes afterwards.
I think it's great that we can continue maintaining and improving Joomla51 templates even without official updates.
Maybe we can share more of our experiences and solutions here in the forum in the future.
Best regards,
Marcel

I would love to see what solutions have been achieved. I for one have no desire to use AI, but I will certainly use any code that you all have created using it!
