FWIW I've updated several personal or dev sites to 4.4 with no issues. No word on if it will make the jump to 5 though.
Edit: All my J4 sites (of course using J51 templates) to 4.4 no issues.
J4 Templates used: Layla, Nina, Nova, Emani, Ensley, Hayley

Was that going to J5? I got 500 Errors with just a straight J4.4 site and nothing but Akeeba Backup installed when trying to take it to J5.

I use Skylar_J4 on all my sites. All my sites updated to J4.4.0 without any issues.

I already updated one of my production sites to J5.0.0. I also tested the upgrade to J5.0.0 on a big and complex site. There have been no issues at all with my template.

J4Naoimi works as well on J5, beware of third party extensions like JCH that are not updated for J5. It crahes the back end not the site

dautrich great to hear. I was going to message you yesterday and ask how yours were going. I know N6REJ had issues with Layla on one of his. All mine (various templates) went to J4.4 zero issues at all.
