Hi Ciaran

the Joomla Pre Update Check (from Joomla 4.0.4 to 4.0.5) claims, that J51 templates resp. extensions might not be compatible. But I am convinced they are. I bought and installed the versions for Joomla 4 and template as well as extension are doing well with my Joomla 4 website. It's only the warning that disturbs me. There might be some action necessary from your side. It's not an urgent situation, though.

Thank you and kind regards
Chris

Hello Crimle,

This is a known issue.
See: https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/issues/35572
Nicholas Dionysopoulos ( developper Akeeba extensions ) is involved in rewriting the update-check procedure.
So we willl have to wait a while...

Luk

We were trying to update 3 different Joomla 4 sites using Joomla51 templates and are unable to update to 4.0.5 for the same reasons. Thank you for any help and clarity for moving forward.

Thanks,
JT

I'm not a pro :-) so excuse me if I am wrong.

But I don't think this message should prevent you from upgrading. It merely indicates that no update information has yet been provided.
If you are sure that the template/extensions are compatible, you can feel free to update, but of course take a backup before.

Yesterday I updated a Joomla 4.0.4 test-site to Joomla 4.0.5 without any problems. The site uses J51_Emani_J4 and some J_51 extensions from the same package, similar with your situation.

I agree that this whole update-check procedure is very confusing and as mentioned above hopefully this would be reviewed...

Addition: I have a core version of .htaccess.
If not, please provide: https://www.joomla.org/announcements/release-news/5850-changes-to-update-process-that-you-need-to-be-aware- or.html
I haven't tested this yet.

Yeah, I already checked the htaccess files and mine are the core. I am still not understanding why it is not upgrading. I get an error screen with a back to dashboard button.
