I just purchased this J51 - Resonate template I was wondering if there is any way to make it a bit more dramatic by changing the background colors and adding different background images, I'm new to working with templates so any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank you

Hello

The background of our Resonate template uses a single image tiled vertically located at ../templates/j51_resonate/images/bg.png from the root of your Joomla installation (http://demo.joomla51.com/0092/templates/j51_resonate/images/bg.png). You can replace this image to your own taste.

When you say the content area are you referring to the component/article area of your template (http://demo.joomla51.com/0092/index.php/features/module-positions)? To do so may I suggest the following article.. http://docs.joomla.org/How_do_you_put_a_module_inside_an_article%3F

To create any module in Joomla navigate to Extensions -> Module Manager -> New. From here you will have a number of default joomla modules to choose from including a login module. Any installed 3rd party modules will also be available from here. In your modules parameters you will set its position, for a list of the module positions available with your template check out.. http://demo.joomla51.com/0092/index.php/features/module-positions
