To whom it may concern,

I really appreciate if you can help me with this issue i am currently having. I recently bought a template and i have also installed the demo installer however it seems it is not loading the demo just one page of the template basic - http://a-linemalta.com/ . I expected to see a demo with all the pages & sample images ready similar to the one below:

I would apreciate if anyone can help me out please! B)

during the Joomla installation process you have to install the english sample data

just a quick note.. the joomla installation process is not being shown... when i transfer the files (demo installer) via FTP when completed it tells me that joomla installation is ready without allowing me to configure or install some sample data...

You transfer the files on server and ftp, then you start the configuration process where you choose username admin, pwd, mysql credentials and at the last you can choose the type of installation . There are multiple choices, you have to select only English sample data. Sorry for my bad english i hope you understand me

Thank you again. Don't worry you English is great!!!

The problem is that no configuration process is being shown in the website. this is my problem. i will do it again this afternoon if you could be able to guide me step by step. Is it possible if we can chat and guide me. I would appreciate this! :)

Ok no problem
A question, but after you transfer all files on ftp server, do you lunch in the browser the following url address:

http://www.yousite.com/installation ?

yes infact when i load my site http://www.a-linemalta.com it redirects me to the following url http://www.a-linemalta.com/installation but it tells me that the joomla installation is complete with no configuration available :/

Delete all files in the server and upload the quick start package again

will do it this afternoon at 5.30pm. Just one question. i will delete all the contents in the public_html right? then i transfer the unzipped demo package.. all the files right in the public_html folder? If i recall correctly this is what i did exactly and when loading the page it gave me that the installation is complete. Let me do it one last time and let you know the outcome :)

Yes exactly, delete all mysql tables too.

Be sure that installation folder is uploaded in the server

Thank you will do as you say. And i will not do the quick install of joomla from the host gator package right? It should be enough when transferring such files including the installation.?

Exactly, you have not to use the quick installation of Host Gator, but you have to upload your quick start package

hi,

just wanted to tell you that i have finally managed to install the demo package!! the problem was that i installed joomla first via host gator and then uploaded the demo which is not the correct procedure. Now its working fine after uploading just the demo package!
