J51 - Layla - Joomla 4 - Update to Joomla 5

I use “J51 - Layla - Joomla 4” (version 2.0.0) on Joomla 5 (5.3.3).

Does it make sense to update to “J51 - Layla - Joomla 5”?
What are the major differences? Version 2.0.0 also runs on Joomla 5.

Is this possible without any problems if the previous version is already installed, or will settings be lost because Joomla considers it a standalone template?
