J4 Template: Kodaline (demo installation) Mobile menu does not work
I installed the Kodaline demo pack. So far I've made few changes. Only a few menu entries (main menu) exchanged. Now I noticed in the mobile (cell phone) view that the menu no longer opens the burger menu on various menu items after two or three clicks?

(Joomla 4.2.8. / PHP 8.0 / no extensions installed other than JCE and the usual J51 extensions / error occurs in different browsers)

Hi Marco

I've just ran a cypress test and it then eventually replicate an issue. It happened on the 48th render and the issue seemed to go on a refresh. This was using Chrome on iOS.

May I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com I will try removing any excess script loading and also check for any plugins that may cause the issue. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

Hi Marco

May I ask on which device/OS/browser are you having this issue? I have tested on both iOS / Safari and Android / Chrome and so far I have been unable to replicate this one.

Hello!
No, the error is browser-independent for me. I tested it with android, FF, Chrome and also Edge.
In the beginning it works, after about 3 to 6 clicks the menu stops working. If I go to a large screen width and then back to the mobile view, then it works two clicks again and then it doesn't work again...
I've also shown and hidden various menu links. Even original menu links from the demo installation will no longer work....

After the first click on the menu, an error appears in the console (see screenshot). But I don't know if it has anything to do with it

Hi Marco

Although I am still unable to replicate, I notice you are getting some console errors that may be related to your issue.

May I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine this issue further. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

the information was sent by email

NOTE: The menu works on the first clicks. Only after several calls of different menu items does it no longer work in mobile mode!

Thanks for your help

Thank you Marco

I have resolved all console errors. Are you finding the issue to be still present?

Many thanks for your effort.
The error seems to occur "only" in the browser: Firefox. :(
( It works in google chrome browser.)
I tested on four different new mobile devices (android).
AFTER several clicks on the menu items, it suddenly stopped working!
Unfortunately, cache is not the problem

Good morning Maybe the post has slipped too far down.
The problem of the mobile menu not working only with the FIREFOX browser persists. (maybe you can find another solution?)

In addition, I noticed that on the complete test page with this template, I cannot zoom in on an image with my fingers in the mobile view. However, this does not work in the original template on your site either. Is it wanted like that? (sometimes it doesn't work with other templates either)

Hi Marco

My apologies as I appear to have missed this post. Strangely we are still unable to replicate this issue. Is there a p[articular app version that you are running? I am assuming the latest?

Thanks fpr answer.
I don't know what you mean by app version?. I use the latest version (Desktopversion: FF 112.0) of the Firefox browser on the desktop or on my mobile phone!
I once shot a video that you can see that it just doesn't work for me. Only by clicking on the "Logo" or the "LOGO Text" will you be able to click on the Hamburg menu (mobile menu) again...

Thank you Marco

I can now replicate the issue which appears to scope to certain menu items. Is the issue present if you disable the tags module? What menu item type are you using here?.. http://malerweg.stadtverein.alfahosting.org/index.php/einzelne-stationen/tabellarisch-sortierung

Thank you for the answer.
- I disabled the tag module -> no change, the error remains
- The menu link you asked for is: Posts » Category List
- I have hidden individual menu items -> it still doesn't work
- I have tested other browsers again -> the error occurs again in the other browsers
- The only menu item that always works on mobile is: "Flyer" (posts - single post)
- Menü item: "Gesamtkarte" is also a (posts - single post) but the error occurs...

Hi Marco

I assume this is still an issue for you? I keep coming back to your site with the hope that I can replicate the issue however, I am once again unable to replicate. I have gone through your site with various instances of browserstack and still the issue does not longer occur. :(

yes, nothing has changed. Sometimes it works for five clicks, then it stops working. Then it's two clicks, and then I can only go back to the main menu via the logo image... Then the same game again...

With the Chrome browser, it worked 15 times, after that it stopped working... :(

A friendly tipster who also uses J51 templates pointed out to me that the error only occurs in the "SlideOUT" mobile menu.
In the mobile menu: "SlickNav" it always works!
