Installing Joomla51 Slideshow on subcategory page

How can I install a Joomla slideshow on a sub-category page? The page is for my wife, a fashion designer, that wants to show a slideshow for each of the current and previous year's collections. When I try to go into the Module Manager, I created another instance of the Joomla Slideshow, went in to change it but only the top level menu topics are displayed.

Hi John

In Joomla you can only assign modules to pages that menu items exist for. One option would be to create menu items for each of your sub-categories and link to your categories that way rather than through a Categories List. You can then assign each slideshow to a sub-category menu item.

An alternative option would be to use a Joomla extension which would allow you assign modules to different categories. The 'Advanced Module Manager' (http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/style-a-design/modules-management/103070) may offer some options that might help.
