Hi

I bought Pianoforte template and I have tried to install the joomla version attached, with template and demo data.

But at the first screen the installation crasches and it doesn't go to next screen to set database.....

What can I do?

Thank you.

Hello

Are you having the same issue with a standard Joomla installation (http://www.joomla.org/download.html)?

Hi

Thank you for your reply.

No, absolutely. I've tried to install Joomla 3.2 and I was able to install it perfectly, in local mode with MAMP, and it works without any problem.

But I would have preferred to install this version with demo data, because I like it so much and so to save time.

Thank you.

(Sorry for my bad english...)

It is an issue I haven't come across before so it is hard to say for sure without access to your server.

One option is to convert your current Joomla installation in to a demo installer. To do so...

1. Copy the ../installation folder from your 'demo installer' to the root of your current installation
2. Copy ../templates/j51_pianoforte to the ../templates folder of your current installation.
3. Copy all ../modules/mod_j51XXXXXX folders to the ../modules folder of your current installation
4. Copy ../image to your current installation (replacing orginal).
5. Delete configuration.php of your current installation.

This error is most commonly caused by incorrect access details to your MySQL database. By default when creating a database in MyPHPAdmin the access details are as follows..

Username: root
Password: [LEAVE BLANK]

Presuming you haven't set a password to your database, use the above details on the second (database) step of your Joomla installation.
