Hello, I am using the scarlett template and found an issue
Our site is http://www.tricityaikido.com
At the top of the page, if you hit the Logo/banner link you will be forwarded to https://www.tricityaikido.com/index.php
This is bad for SEO
It is also strange since I have made the site seo friendly in the global configuration which typically removes the index.php from pages
How do I get the logo link to correctly forwarded to https://www.tricityaikido.com without the /index.php ?

go to the Joomla global configuration | site tabblad | SEO |
Use URL Rewriting
set to yes, this removes the index.php/ part from the URLs.

Uhm, I included a pic in the first post that showed I did exactly that. It didn't work, that is why I'm here. Any other ideas why the template is doing this? All the other pages do NOT have the index.php, it's just when you click on the banner. http://www.tricityaikido.com please go to the site and see for yourself.

did you used a custom module to place the logo? Check that as your logo position and the socials are not inline with the scarlett template

ps. your responsive version of the site is off as well, logo is partly hidden

There is no module for the logo. It's a picture. The offset was corrected by code installed, but I guess that's not working as well. Since the original issue is still here, do you have any other ideas about why the logo/link is creating an index.php address? It's an SEO issue I would like to fix

Hello

In the file ../templates/j51_scarlett/php/layouts/header.php try replacing each instance of index.php with the URL of your choice.
