Image slideshow Tesla not working

Hello,
just downloaded template Tesla.
Installed the Image slideshow, but it does not seem to work.
After opening de module to set it gives the following text:

Module XML data not available.

any ideas?

Joomla! version 3.5.0

I have installed our own J51 Slideshow module (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/110280303/mod_j51slideshow.zip) as an alternative which appears to have resolved the issue.

Is there a way to get the slide show behind the image like the template demo?
I suppose it has to with the z-index?
