Hi,

I don't know if this is something you can help me with, but I would like to give other website owners an image which will provide a link back to our website. I understand that having created the image file it needs to be uploaded to the site and we need to provide the source code so that when the link is followed, the image can be found ... something like this:

<a href="http://www.oxfordcitywalk.co.uk/index.php/oxford-showcase";>
<img src="http://www.oxfordcitywalk.co.uk/OxfordShowcaseLarge-Image/iw-icon-72.png";
border="0"></a>

Thanks.

If I have understood this correctly, how do I upload the image to the server and where should it be located?

Thanks

... If you like we could try this out with you. If you wanted to, we could exchange backlinks: we could put you on our site at the template provider and you could put our image backlink onto your site ... ? :)

Hello

Images can be uploaded via your Media Manager within your Joomla administration. You can then link to this image using the following URL (presuming you have uploaded the image to the root of your Media Manager)...

[code] http://www.yoursite.com/image/yourimage.jpg{/code]

Sorry to say at present we are not exchanging links a Joomla51.com.

Hi, I've taken your advice and have put together a page on our website which allows visitors to lift HTML code and paste it into the backend of their site. Would you be able to have a quick look to see if the code looks OK to you? When I cut and paste them into the backend of our own site they work, but the files are local and I'm concerned that this won't work when someone else tries it. The page link with the pasteable codes is:

http://www.oxfordcitywalk.co.uk/index.php/oxford-showcases-welcome/information-for-oxfordshowcase-supporters

I would be most grateful if you can cast an expert eye over this one.

Best wishes,

David G

Hi David

As you are using full URLs to your images I can see no reason why this should not work for you.
