I followed a "How to Create a Blog With Joomla" article at https://www.joomlashack.com/blog/joomla-how-to/joomla-blog/ to set up a News blog page by using what seems to be a generic Joomla core function.

I'm using Letterpress V1.2.1 but I can't see how to get a horizontal separator line to appear between the 'blog' articles as (or even more prominent) shown in the source article after "Step#3" in the referenced article above.

I found the same type of question posted in 2012 but none of the suggestions seem to work when added to the Custom CSS section of my Letterpress style.

Any help gratefully received - please assume I'm a total amateur.

Hello

Would you have a URL to an example of your blog?

Edit: I note this is the only page on my site that now has a grey bar overlying the bottom black menu.

Edit 2: I now seem to have somewhat variable blue dividing lines between posts now on my desktop but only the first test post appears on my mobile and tablet devices.

email previously sent with admin details (covering a second query as well at https://www.joomla51.com/forum/letterpress-v1-2-1-and-extra-menu-button).

Thank you

To amend try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (Extensions -> Templates -> [YourTemplateStyle] -> Custom CSS)....

(Edit to taste)

.blog > div > div {
border-bottom: 1px solid #ccc;
}

Thank you Ciaran,

I am still having problems getting my blog page to work as I want. There are extra blue dividing lines now which appeared after my original post and before your answer (probably something I altered) and I cannot get 2 columns of older blog posts under the leading article.

However, for now I intend to get the revised and working parts of my test site transferred over to the live site and then start again from a cleaner version of Letterpress and, hopefully, crack it.

Thanks again. I may be back for more help later if needed.
