I have the code for not showing the “HOME” in the menu. It is working on the home page but not on all others which are the default. I used the same code in the default style.

Hello

Are you using multiple template styles? If so ensure that you have added your custom CSS to each of the template styles (Extensions -> Templates).

Yes-using home page style and default. I have the code in both places. But it is not working in the default. Do you think using the angled top banner is causing the problem?

Hello

This angled top banner should not cause any issues. May I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine this issue further. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

Thank you

I have added your custom CSS to the template core files which appear to have resolved the issue. It may be worth checking the CSS syntax in the Custom CSS field of each of your template styles. Any CSS after a syntax error will not work correctly.
