Hi Ciaran

I'd like to add a very simple search to the homepage. It leads to our public facing catalog.

When I test the code, I am able to control the size of the textbox and have the "find" button next to it on the same line.

I've uploaded it to our current Joomla 3 site and it works as expected:
https://www.mountpleasantlibrary.org/index.php/en/about/news-live/789-demo-aspen-catalog

When I try the same code on the Hayley site, it behaves differently. The box fills up the entire space and the "find" button is pushed onto the next line (you need to scroll down a screen):
https://www.mountpleasantlibrary.org/hayleyj4/index.php/mppl-menu/beta

Is there anything to do to resolve this please?

Thanks
John

try placing the search script in a module position like Module ContentTop-A instead of main content

Hello

To amend you can also try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (Extensions -> Templates -> [YourTemplateStyle] -> Custom CSS)....

(edit to taste)

#searchForm {
display: flex;
max-width: 260px;
}
